A turbo-shandy for the discerning drinker created by ‘Shaky’ Pete Jeary here at Spitalfields. 50p from each one served goes to Football Gambia, a charity that our very own Kenny Boyle helps to run, which promotes education and development through the beautiful game.
Hops & Glory - 9.75
Gin, Lemon, IPA Syrup & Cocchi Americano. The Hops and Glory is named after a public house on Essex Rd owned by our dear friend and former Hawksmoor bartender Mr Durham Atkinson. Durham’s temple to craft beer was the inspiration for this hoppy, light, refreshing martini.
Champagne Charlie (2006) - 12.00
Champagne, Gin, Seasonal Syrup. Seasonal syrups created here by our bartenders are combined with gin and champagne for a drink to suit any occasion.
Marmalade Cocktail (1920s/2006) - 9.50
Gin, Campari, Marmalade & Lemon. Harry Craddock, who ran the Savoy’s American Bar in its 1920s heyday, thought it ‘a great necessity of the age’ to develop effective Anti-Fogmatics and recommended that they be drunk ‘before 11am, or whenever steam and energy are needed’.
Hawksmoor Collins (2010) - 9.50
Beefeater 24, Campari, Orange Bitters, Lemon, Soda. Bittersweet orange added to the classic Tom Collins via Campari and Orange Bitters. The perfect pre-prandial created by Nick Strangeway at Hawksmoor Spitalfields.
Green & Red Margarita (2005/2010) - 7.50
Tequila, Lime, Lemon & Agave Syrup. Frozen. A pre-Hawksmoor non-gin anomaly. This one goes all the way back to our Green & Red days (a gone-but-not-forgotten Mexican place we had around the corner). We revived it when we launched Spitalfields Bar in 2010 and it’s been one of the most popular drinks down here since.
