Group Bookings Terms & Conditions

All terms comply with Covid-19 secure guidelines

In light of the Rule of 6, we are now accepting online bookings for tables of up to 6 people. However, we know that there are exemptions, so if this is your situation please read on…

We do take bookings over the phone for tables of 7 or more that are exempt (specifically for single households/support bubbles that contain more than 6 people), and we’re more than happy to arrange a table for you in this scenario. However, we hope that you’ll understand that we need to ask a little more of you when you make your booking, partly to ensure we comply with regulations and partly to make sure everyone else in the restaurant feels comfortable that we’re doing the right thing. Specifically:

Could you please let us know a little about your group. For example ‘two parents, four children and a grandparent’ or ‘eight adult housemates’.

If it is an expanded family, we won’t need any more from you other than the deposit we’ve always required for groups of over 6 (see below)

If you are all adults we’d be grateful if you could provide us with some kind of ID/proof of address that shows you are a single household/support bubble (support bubbles are a combination of a single-adult household and one other household of any size). While we have no cause to doubt you, this helps us field any questions from other customers or government authorities without having to disturb you any further.

If you are unable to provide these details then we are happy to take separate bookings for your group. If you have two bookings on the same evening this is fine, however we can’t guarantee that your tables will be near each other and unfortunately the government’s Covid-secure rules prevent us from allowing ‘mingling’ between tables – e.g. joining another table for a drink or switching seats mid-meal.

We’re extremely sorry to create any extra work for you when something that should be as simple as making a restaurant reservation, but unfortunately these are the times we find ourselves in and the best way we can think of to deal with the issue.

If you are reserving a table for 5 people or more, we will kindly ask for your credit or debit card details at the time of booking.

We are unable to confirm your reservation until we have received your credit card details.

For bookings of 5 or more guests we require 48hrs notice for cancellation of your booking. If you cancel within 48hrs of the time of your reservation, we charge a fee of £25 per head within 48 hours of your request.
