Steak in London
“The best steak I have ever eaten in this country.”
– Jay Rayner, Observer
A labour of love to find the perfect steak inspired us to try to open the best steak restaurant in London. We’ve travelled the world in search of the best beef, and our verdict? That it comes from cattle that are ethically reared right here in Britain.
We support traditional British farming methods and work with small farms around the country who raise cattle to our specific set of guidelines around the quality of animal’s life, which is as high a standard as you’ll find anywhere in the world.
In 2006 when we opened the doors to our first restaurant, Hawksmoor Spitalfields in Shoreditch, we made a commitment to serve only the very best steak that London has to offer. The key to great tasting steak is happy animals, animal welfare and quality of life which have always been things that we will not compromise on. Our goal has always been to serve the best steak in London, and indeed the whole of the UK, but we also work hard to make sure everything else on the menu is as good as it can possibly be.

At Hawksmoor Guildhall, in the City between Bank and Moorgate tube stations, we aim to serve the best breakfast in London whilst at the others the aim is the best Sunday Roast in London.
It doesn’t stop there, if you’re shopping in Regent Street or Piccadilly Circus and want to pop in for lunch, seeing a show in Covent Garden, or out in Soho, it’s a short walk to what we hope is the best steak in London. In the words of Giles Coren from The Times, “Flawless. The best steak you’ll find anywhere”.
With restaurants in central London including Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, Knightsbridge, London Bridge, The City and Spitalfields, our aim stays the same, to serve only the best steak in London.
