Celebrating 20 years of Hawksmoor
20 years ago, we opened a steakhouse in Spitalfields with a simple idea: find the very best British beef, cook it properly, and have it served by genuinely happy people, without the white-tablecloth fuss.
Is our 20th anniversary a big deal to you? “Maybe,” we thought. “Also, maybe not.” So rather than getting soppy about it, someone said: “How about £20 steak and chips for our 20th instead?” And everyone nodded.
Bringing it back wasn’t a long meeting. It’s the summer special you go mad for every single year — we’ve genuinely come close to running out of steak more than once. So for a summer this iconic, of course it’s coming home.
