Large? No. But glamorous? Hawksmoor Knightsbridge is a little different to its siblings: Art Deco interiors – lots of marble, brass and dark-leather banquettes – and an upmarket postcode just off Brompton Road combine to create what we believe is the best steak and seafood restaurant in Knightsbridge.
We’re very near the area’s iconic department stores, Harrods and Harvey Nichols, and Kensington’s cultural institutions – the Victoria & Albert, Natural History and Science Museums, and Royal Albert Hall – are also close by. A Very Merry Christmas
Things don’t change much around the restaurant come the festive period. It seems to have that wintry twinkle in its eye already. The menus barely change either, save a few festive sides (our ‘cows in blankets’ will make you forget pigs were ever wrapped up) and our fundraising mince pies.
Indeed, we like to do Christmas a little differently at Hawksmoor. So, instead of the tinsel and turkey set menus, we double down on great steaks and seafood, a laidback service and a soupçon of festive cheer. While there’s no private dining room at Hawksmoor Knightsbridge, we love hosting groups of friends, family or colleagues looking to celebrate Christmas in a relaxed and tasteful way.
Private & corporate events in Knightsbridge
Hawksmoor Knightsbridge is perfect for private events, with options to hire the entire restaurant for up to 140 guests or enjoy a semi-private set-up for groups of 70. The bar area sets the tone with arrival drinks and serves as the perfect spot for post-dinner cocktails.
Our group-friendly sharing menus showcase Hawksmoor classics, bringing the best of our dishes to the table. And we’re flexible – just let us know what you need, from veggie and vegan options to other dietary requests. Whatever the occasion, we’ll make it unforgettable.
Our Express Menu
Our set menu is a great option if you’re budget conscious or time poor. Available every day until 6.30pm and at 9pm, guests make the most of its two or three-course options (£29/£33) before or after shopping in Knightsbridge, museum trips in South Kensington or seeing a show at the Royal Albert Hall near Hyde Park.
Whatever you’re planning, you can be assured of a Hawksmoor-quality lunch or dinner that skimps only on time and price. A classic lineup? For us, it has to be the potted beef and bacon with Yorkshires, followed by a dry-aged rump and beef-fat chips, finishing with a little-bit-naughty peanut butter shortbread. Not bad for £33.
Sunday Roast in Knightsbridge

We’ve won awards for ‘The Best Sunday Roast in the UK’ twice. That’s largely down to the quality of the ingredients we use. Sourced from suppliers around the UK who care about the impact that their rearing, fishing and growing has on the environment, they turn out produce that lights up our Sunday service.
It’s a day of regulars, either family or groups of friends, who’ve come to expect a cosy retreat and comfortable seat. Guests can choose from two options: our slow roast rump or the Sunday Feast (best for two or more people), which features a juicy sharing steak as the gleaming centrepiece. Both are served with all the trimmings, from our crispy beef-dripping potatoes to those vast Yorkshire puddings. So, if you’re looking for a Sunday lunch in Knightsbridge, it’s best to book if you can as Sundays get very busy.

every monday, all day – £5 corkage
Everyone’s invited to our Bring Your Own Wine club, every Monday. Turn up with any bottle you like and we’ll only charge you a fiver corkage. Yes, any size bottle, any time of day. Nothing puts a smile on our face like someone walking in with a couple of magnums in their hands for a bit of Monday lunchtime madness.
If you like the idea but aren’t sure what to buy, we’re always very happy to offer suggestions ahead of time. Just mention when making your booking and we’ll have the wine manager drop you a line. Alternatively, our favourite local wine shop, Jeroboams, is just round the corner – they’re experts in marrying you with the perfect bottle.
