The Sublime Society Room
A room dedicated to the actors, artists and songsmiths who founded the Sublime Society of Beefsteaks back in 18th Century London. Part members’ club, part secret society, this boho group met weekly to consume vast quantities of beefsteak and booze – just punch, port or porter, no fancy French wines allowed. Before long, everyone wanted in. Even the Prince Regent (soon-to-be King George IV).
The Private Dining Room in Hawksmoor Guildhall, a short walk from Bank, boasts a 22 person dining table centred in an elegant wooden panelled room which pays tribute to the medieval history of The City of London, making this a unique space for a range of events; from dinner & lunches to large gatherings of friends and family. The discrete audio visual equipment, including a 40” flat screen also makes the space suitable for meetings and presentations.
Cocktail receptions are available on arrival, there are three specially designed sharing menus to choose from, which offer a chance to sample a range of Hawksmoor classic dishes, our team can also suggest wine pairings that are tailored to your choice of menu.
