The Cult Classic is Back

Our summertime favorite has returned—but only for a limited time.

If you’ve never had the pleasure of meeting an atomic cake, get ready. This legendary Chicago dessert was born on the South Side in the 1950s to celebrate the Atomic Age—and it’s just as bold as it sounds. Picture this: three layers of cake (banana, chocolate, and vanilla), stacked high with custard, whipped cream, fresh bananas, strawberry jam, and rich fudge sauce.

We created our own version to mark our Chicago launch, and it quickly became one of our most-loved desserts. It’s indulgent, nostalgic, and totally over-the-top—in the best possible way.

Our food’s good because the ingredients are good. Expect beef from pasture-reared cattle; sustainable seafood; local cheeses; seasonal fruit and vegetables — the sort of stuff that’s phenomenal as it is, before it even makes it to our kitchens.
