Get ready for a night of indulgence, history, and unapologetically good beef. On Friday, May 16, we are bringing a legendary British tradition to Chicago with our first-ever Beefsteak Club dinner, a true celebration of beef, butchery, and Britishness.

This isn’t just a dinner; it’s a tribute to London’s iconic Sublime Society of Beefsteaks, a secret society celebrating beef since 1735, hosted in our aptly named Beefsteak Stakes Room, on the third floor of our beautiful restaurant.

What to expect

Our advice? Come hungry. This all-out, gut-busting family-style feast will kick off with welcome drinks, Brit-inspired bites, and the raucous, joyfully indulgent atmosphere that defined London’s original Beefsteak Clubs. Expect plenty of beef, a bit of butchery, and a few good stories from the trio behind the night for a celebration of meat, mischief, and proper hospitality.

The evening will kick off with a welcome cocktail and posh Brit-inspired bites, like Guinness rarebits and the world’s best sausage rolls (made with Rob Levitt’s Great British Banger sausage meat). Then, settle in for a Hawksmoor style feast featuring oysters, pigs-in-blankets, hay-smoked pork chops, massive Slagel Farms steaks grilled over charcoal, and our famous Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert.

Sit back and feast family-style with Rob Levitt, Hawksmoor founders Huw Gott and Will Beckett, and a handful of other butchery experts. As you eat, listen to the trio share stories about the rich history of London’s Beefsteak Clubs, the art of butchery, and what makes a truly great steak.

But it is not just about the food; it is about the fun. Expect boisterous conversation, great company, and a night of indulgence, joy, and celebration – one that you won’t want to miss.
