Hawksmoor Boston - Hawksmoor

Hawksmoor Boston

Opening Fall 2026

A shot of a table from above, generously laden with steaks, sides and drinks

Hawksmoor is coming to Boston.

We’ve spent the last twenty years building Hawksmoor — a place for exceptional steak, warm hospitality and rooms people want to linger in. Being named (twice) as the 2nd World’s Best Steak Restaurant Group, and recognised by the James Beard Foundation, means a lot to us. But what really matters is your experience with us, and we are incredibly excited to be opening here in Boston.

In Fall 2026, we’ll open at 15 Necco in the heart of Fort Point. There’ll be space for around 200 guests, sweeping views across the Fort Point Channel and a big outdoor terrace made for long lunches, celebratory dinners, a few too many martinis and everything in between.

What started as a single restaurant in London has grown into fourteen across the UK, Ireland and the US — including Dublin, New York and Chicago. Boston will be our fifteenth, opening in our twentieth year, which feels pretty special.

Every Hawksmoor reflects the city it calls home. Boston will be no different.

The best of London. The best of Boston. Together at last.

Coming soon.

Hi Boston. We are Hawksmoor.

We’re Will Beckett and Huw Gott, childhood best friends who started Hawksmoor in London in 2006. At the time, we were two slightly naive twenty-somethings who decided to try opening the steak restaurant we wished existed. Somewhere with brilliant beef, proper drinks and a room that felt warm, lively and welcoming. The kind of place we would be excited to visit on our night off.

From the beginning, we became a bit obsessed with beef. Where it comes from, how cattle are raised, how the meat is aged and what happens when it finally meets salt and charcoal. We work closely with farmers who rear cattle properly and ethically, and we care a lot about sustainability and long-term farming. Great steak starts long before it reaches the grill.

Over time, the little restaurant we had in a cool, up and coming neighborhood in London grew into something bigger than we ever expected. And Boston has long been a dream of ours. Boston felt like the sort of city where Hawksmoor might feel at home. A place that appreciates craft, quality and a good time around the table.

At heart, that is still what we are trying to build. A restaurant you can call your own.

Just as important to us is the kind of company we are. Hawksmoor has been named one of the UK’s Best Companies to Work For for fourteen years running. We became the first restaurant in the UK to be a certified B Corp because we believe businesses should try to be a force for good. Today, we are carbon neutral and constantly working to reduce our impact and do things the right way, not the easy way.

We’re serious about the craft and relaxed about everything else.

Why Boston?

We’re opening in Boston for the same reason we opened the first Hawksmoor in London. We wanted a restaurant we would like to eat in ourselves. Incredible food and drink, warm and genuine service, from people who are genuinely pleased to see you, beautiful surroundings, but a place that feels relaxed, not stiff.

To us, Boston is one of the most beautiful and important cities in the country – a place where history and energy sit side by side comfortably. When we first walked through Fort Point, with its old warehouse buildings and creative buzz, it reminded us of where Hawksmoor began almost 20 years ago. That mix of character, craft and community felt familiar.

Hawksmoor Boston will reflect our new neighborhood – warm, handsome, and inviting.

Brass and wood tables. No tablecloths. No stiffness. Just beautiful and thoughtful design and genuinely warm service.

The restaurant will include flexible dining spaces and two private rooms (seating 14 and 32).

15 Necco is a Platinum LEED-certified building – a natural fit for our commitment to sustainability and our B-Corp values.

We can’t wait to welcome you soon.

What to Expect from Hawksmoor

Our approach is simple and has never changed – Buy the best and don’t mess it up.

That means proper food, done properly. At the center of it all is the steak. Proper beef from well-reared cattle, dry aged with care and cooked over real charcoal by people who know when to leave it alone. It is the thing we have obsessed over since the beginning and still the thing we care about most.

But the rest of the table matters just as much. Sustainable seafood, generous sides that get passed around and fought over, and puddings that are properly indulgent. Just wait until you try our Sticky toffee pudding (an iconic British dessert), or the peanut butter shortbread, our desserts will make you find room that you didn’t know you had.

We’ll bring a few habits from home. Proper Sunday roasts with Yorkshire puddings that barely fit the plate. Martinis so cold they sting. And a firm belief that a great steak and a good bottle of red can sort most things out.

Just as important as the food is how it feels to be here. The room will have warmth and energy. A bit of buzz, the clink of glasses, music you can tap your foot to. You can come dressed up, dressed down or somewhere in between and feel completely at ease.

Our team know their craft but never make a fuss about it. Friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help when you need it. The kind of service that feels natural rather than rehearsed.

We can be your place for celebrations, midweek pick-me-ups and long evenings with friends.

The Bar

While people come to Hawksmoor for the steak, the bar has always been just as important to us.

Walk through the doors and you will find a long brass topped bar at the heart of the room, wrapping into the dining space and built for people to settle in. It is the sort of place where you might start the evening with a drink and suddenly realize you are still there a few hours later.

We take our cocktails seriously, but never make a show of it. Our Martinis are ice cold. Properly ice cold. The kind that arrive frosty and bracing in exactly the right glass. Our Sour Cherry Negroni has developed something of a cult following over the years, and the classics are treated with the respect they deserve.

The bar program has been recognized by the James Beard Foundation and at Tales of the Cocktail, which we are hugely proud of. But the real goal has always been simpler than that. To make drinks you genuinely want to drink, served by people who know what they are doing and enjoy doing it. Back in London, our recently opened Martini Bar is now one of the city’s most talked about places.

It is a place for after work drinks, weekend hangs and a quick cocktail that turns into another round. Somewhere to watch the game, meet friends or start a night that goes a little later than planned.

However you end up at the bar, you will be in good hands.

British Sunday Roasts in Boston

One thing we are especially excited to bring to Boston is the Sunday roast. In Britain, it is something of a weekly ritual, and has been for centuries. Think of it a bit like Thanksgiving dinner, but every Sunday.

Across the UK, rain or shine, people gather around the table each week for a proper roast. Families, friends, whoever happens to be around. It is the sort of meal that is meant to take its time. Plates piled high, gravy passed around, second helpings encouraged, and the afternoon stretching on longer than expected.

A proper Sunday roast usually means roast beef at the center of the table, served with crisp roast potatoes, towering Yorkshire puddings, seasonal vegetables and plenty of gravy. Simple things done really well, cooked with care and served generously.

It is a tradition we take very seriously at Hawksmoor. Our Sunday roast has twice been named the best in the UK, which is not a title people hand out lightly.

For us, it is about more than just the food. It is about the ritual of it. Slowing down at the end of the week, gathering the people you like best and settling in for a long, relaxed meal.

We cannot wait to introduce Boston to it.

Private Dining, Groups & Events

Hawksmoor Boston will be the perfect place for private dining and events (think exceptional drinks, incredible food, in one of the most beautiful spaces in Fort Point). We’ve been hosting events for nearly 20 years and offer tailored event services from start to finish, ensuring your occasion is seamless and stress-free.

Our menus, from a la carte to canapes, focus on the best ingredients, like grass-fed British beef, sustainable seafood, seasonal vegetables and artisanal cheeses, all cooked simply to let the flavors shine. Paired with great wines and award-winning cocktails, your event will be served by a team who genuinely love what they do, making every gathering feel special.

Our Purpose

Hawksmoor is about creating something special for the people who come and eat with us; the communities we live and work in; our teams; and the wide-reaching network of people who play a role in making Hawksmoor happen.

We’ve always tried to build the kind of business we would be proud of. Of course, that means serving great food and giving people a brilliant time when they visit, but it also means trying to do things the right way behind the scenes. We look after our teams because we believe that when people feel supported, respected and happy at work, they pass that feeling on to our guests. We work closely with farmers who raise cattle properly and sustainably, focus on responsible sourcing across everything we buy and are proud to be a certified B Corp, which holds us to high social and environmental standards. We are also carbon neutral and constantly looking for ways to reduce our impact further, while supporting charities and community partners doing important work. We know we will never get everything perfect, but the aim is simple. Run great restaurants, look after our people and suppliers and try to leave things a little better than we found them.
